Join poets Robbie Cheadle, Cindy Georgakas, Freya Pickard, V.M. Sang, Michelle Ayon Navajas, Marsha Ingrao, Nolcha Fox, Joy Neal Kidney, Kevin Morris, Jean-Jacques Fournier, Melissa Lemay, Yvette Prior, and special guest, Colleen Chesbro share their personal seasons of poetry.

Yes, I’m one of the poets, among Pushcart Nominees, best sellers, at least one PhD and one retired accountant, and who have been guests on Robbie Cheadle’s website called Writing to be Read.

Thanks to the internet, these poets are from all over the world–Robbie from South Africa, Cindy and Marsha from CA, V.M. from SE England, Michelle from the Philippines, Kevin (who is blind) from London, Jean-Jaques from Quebec, Melissa from PA, Coleen from MI, and me from Iowa.

The poems are written in all sorts of forms, from haikus to free verse (which is what I write). They cover the weather of the seasons, but also flora and fauna, aromas, and emotions.

I especially enjoyed Yvette Prior’s “Season Sonder.” A new word for me, meaning realizing that everyone is the main character in their own story. The poems, with gentle rhymes, reflects emotional weather, “carrying history and unseen currents,” and “mirror the interior climates of our relationships.” These are mesmerizing.

“I The Bublebee – in bombinate flights -” by Jean Jaques Fournier is such fun. Another new word, meaning a sustained noise, humming or buzzing.

Thank you to Robbie Cheadle for inviting me to Treasuring Poetry, and also to participate in this delightful anthology. Meeting other poets has been such a blessing.

For Kaye Lynne Booth, writing is her passion. It is a very strange time indeed when Kaye Lynne does not have at least three WIPs, in addition to her other writings, teaching and other life activities. Kaye Lynne lives, works and plays in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.

Robbie Cheadle

South African author, photographer, and artist, Robbie Cheadle, has written and illustrated seventeen children’s books, illustrated a further three children’s books, written and illustrated four poetry books and written and illustrated one celebration of cake and fondant art book with recipes. Her work has also appeared in poetry and short story anthologies.

Robbie also has two novels and a collection of short stories published under the name of Roberta Eaton Cheadle and has horror, paranormal, and fantasy short stories featured in several anthologies under this name.
