Pilgrim’s Progress meets the “king of drugs”

Demimonde: Survival is Only the Beginning

Demimonde is an allegoric fantasy about Vonn Thrasher and his perilous escape from Demimonde, the half-world that traps lost and damaged souls until they perish. From Baser’s corner bars to the carnival hustle of Ism Harbor and Shantytown violence, he finally escapes and boards Treatment Ship to Sobriety Island.

But will Vonn survive the harrowing voyage? Can he actually recovery or is it too late? Enemies say no, he belongs to us. But powerful friends like Watcher and Teller say yes.

Join the adventure and learn about societies great threat, alcoholism and addictions while enjoying a great story.

My Thoughts: Pilgrim’s Progress meets the “king of drugs”

Vonn Thrasher has an alcohol problem. It was “love at first drink” in middle school. His is an arduous journey with plenty of pitfalls, hard decisions, and evil characters. But he also meets characters who help him out. Everyone has a winding path, a valley to cross, and a mountain to climb, shaped through people and events.

The Demimonde Story Map in the front is a delightful help as you wend your way through this profound allegory, as is a Lexicon of places and characters at the end.

“A sober life is a spiritual journey. One you can’t do on your own.” You’ll certainly understand more about addiction and you’ll be glad you followed this arduous but fascinating trek with Vonn Trasher.
