Meadowlark Songs is introduced as a new book on Shepherd.com with five related books. Here are my five books of compelling poetic genealogy, and why:

The first four fed the spark that eventually became Meadowlark Songs: A Motherline Legacy. I was taken by Kin Types years ago, how she captured a vignette of an ancestor in just a few words. Each author stirred up more ideas until Meadowlark began to slowly take shape. The last book is a fascinating recent discovery.
Shepherd.com is a great place for readers to find books and authors to find readers!
The ebooks of Meadowlark Songs and of Leora’s Early Years are free from November 12-15, 2025.
So good, Joy! Thank you! ❤️🥰❤️
Thanks, Vicki! Shepherd.com could be a good resource for Surviving Sue!
Yes, yes! I set up Shepherd…two years ago, I think…but I didn’t answer the call to update my page. Thank you for the encouragement, dear Joy! 💝
You might have fun choosing your 3 favorite reads of 2025, which will also feature your own book!
You are so good! After I lapsed with Shepherd I wonder if they’ll have me back! LOL! Sending big hugs to you, Joy! 💝
Outstanding!
Thanks, Rich! You might consider Shepherd.com to introduce your Lawman books!
Thank you very much for including Grief Songs!! I greatly appreciate it.
It’s so beautiful and poignant, Liz!
🥰🥰🥰
Thank you, Joy, for your thoughts and recommendations. 🙂
Bless you, Nancy.
How are you feeling, Joy?
Exhausted, but I can eat pretty well. Favorite Guy is struggling exhaustion as well, but we’ve got each other and a comfortable home. Thankful. How are you?
Tired, always tired. Finally got a date for the pre-surgical consultation that occurs about 4 to 6 weeks prior to the surgery. Yesterday, I tried to pick up a carton of milk at the grocery store, and nearly dropped it. I must have twisted something in my shoulder because the pain was incredibly intense. Surgery can’t be soon enough for me!
You and Favorite Guy are inspirational. I’m so grateful to have met you here and grateful that God is with us in all of this stuff.🤗🙏
I learned to do things with my opposite hand (even shake hands so I wouldn’t get a shock). A friend said, “Life is hard but God is good.” Amen.
Wonderful, Joy! I’ll check it out.
Even if you just do your 3 favorites, they’ll feature one of your books!
Wow!
Wonderful!
Thanks, Linda. This was fun to compile!
I loved Grief Songs, Joy. Thanks for sharing. 💕
Thank you, Lauren.
