Leaves on the Porch
Strewn on the porch their good morning a winsome welcome I should sweep them away but I like them there right where they skittered Crisp and dry brown and russet Nature's blessing

I love this poem, with its acceptance of change and the blessings the cycles of life bring.
I like it!!
I would leave the leaves there too for a while for they are indeed “Nature’s blessing”.
Wonderful poem! I feel like I have visited your porch on this autumn day! 🙂
No reason to rush them off – they just got there, for heaven’s sake! Nice poem, Joy.
