My Thoughts: Pilgrim’s Progress meets the “king of drugs”
Vonn Thrasher has an alcohol problem. It was “love at first drink” in middle school. His is an arduous journey with plenty of pitfalls, hard decisions, and evil characters. But he also meets characters who help him out. Everyone has a winding path, a valley to cross, and a mountain to climb, shaped through people and events.
The Demimonde Story Map in the front is a delightful help as you wend your way through this profound allegory, as is a Lexicon of places and characters at the end.
“A sober life is a spiritual journey. One you can’t do on your own.” You’ll certainly understand more about addiction and you’ll be glad you followed this arduous but fascinating trek with Vonn Trasher.
