I spent my childhood on a farm on Old Creamery Road south of Dexter, Iowa. I live with my husband in a suburban house with a front porch. We’ve recently become first-time grandparents.
A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, I’ve published two genealogies, as well as dozens of essays in newspapers and magazines, including Midwest Living, The Des Moines Register, and The Christian Science Monitor.
As the keeper of old letters, pictures, and mementos, my filing cabinets hold treasures.
